The Taite Music Prize show – known often as the Taites – is the annual New Zealand industry award which honours the previous year’s finest New Zealand album. It is an award for artistic excellence, judged and awarded by the winner's peers.

The Taite Music Prize event also includes the Independent Music NZ Classic Record. The New Zealand Herald's Hugh Sundae has filmed and broadcast several of these awards and these can be found here.
