Church & AP

Church & AP brought a new freshness to local hip hop, due to their willingness to try new leftfield approaches. Their early single ‘Ready or Not’ was an online hit and more followed, while they developed a dedicated fanbase across Australasia through EPs and albums that showcased their true range as artists.

Elijah Manū (Church) had just started Mt Albert Grammar in year 10 when he overheard a student from the year below, Albert Purcell (AP), talking about Chance the Rapper. He stopped to give his opinion and they soon found themselves in the same friend group.
