The Veils

Amid the woozy psychedelia and nonchalant blues that dominated the student airwaves between 2004-2010, The Veils, led by front man and founding member Finn Andrews, were something of an anomaly.

Although they played with the same youthful vigour as their counterparts in the North Shore music scene, The Veils made a name for themselves by having an eloquent dreaminess to their sound – more Byron than Bo Diddley. Underpinning their gothic keening and romantic flourishes was a strong pop sensibility that would catapult them to international acclaim.
