Alec Bathgate

The Enemy. Toy Love. Tall Dwarfs. All three were trailblazing, and Alec Bathgate’s contributions were crucial, distinctive, memorable. His guitar provided the architecture around which Chris Knox painted his vocal melodies. It’s inconceivable to imagine those three acts without him.

And yet, Chris Knox is the dominant presence. It was a songwriting partnership and a friendship that just worked, hence its longevity and its ability to evolve through three very different musical projects.
