Langeveld started his musical career in the mid-eighties as a bass player with Compulsory Allies, NRA, Strawpeople, Greg Johnson, Jules Issa and MC OJ & Rhythm Slave.

In 1988 Langeveld teamed up with Eddie Chambers (from NRA) as Nemesis Dub Systems, combining elements of reggae dub with acid house. NDS produced a 12-inch single for Wildside Records and one full-length album, A Multitrack Situation, in 1992 on Deepgrooves Records. They also contributed tracks to several compilations.

Langeveld was heavily involved with both of the first two influential Deepgrooves compilations in the early 1990s, with credits for both his production and performances (NDS appeared as Nemesis Dub on the first). During this period, Langeveld also worked with DLT, Teremoana Rapley, Anthony Ioasa and an early incarnation of Pitch Black.

From 1990 to 1996 Langeveld was, with Stinky Jim, half of Unitone HiFi. They released three full-length albums and one mini-album via the New Zealand-owned but Germany-based Incoming! label.

It was perhaps New Zealand's first internet-based collaboration as the two exchanged music and ideas via the net, meeting to complete recordings when Jim made one of his regular trips to New York.

Unitone HiFi have remained sporadically active in the years since, with releases via Stinky Jim’s Round Trip Mars label.

By the late 1990s Langeveld, having returned from New York, was heavily involved in the then burgeoning local club/dance scene through his input into the Auckland music collective Kog Transmissions and then his own Kog-associated record label Reliable Recordings. The label was the first in New Zealand to focus on house music and captured the tail-end of the High Street scene and the burgeoning club scene centred around Calibre nightclub in St. Kevin's Arcade on Karangahape Rd. Releases included both the ground-breaking Algorhythm CD compilations (the first he compiled for Kog, the second was on Reliable) and a series of vinyl only 12-inch releases.

These included releases from House Of Downtown, Mark de Clive-Lowe and DJ Phully, plus collaborations with Roger Perry (as Reactor Music) and Jason Rockpig (as Subware) amongst others.

His music was released internationally via Global Underground, Wrong, Universal, Sony Music and Shaboom. 

More recently Langeveld has established himself as a composer for film, TV and commercial projects.  

TV composition credits include Popstars, Being Eve, Extreme Tribes, Ocean Zoo, Beyond The Darklands, Police 10/7 and The Missing, plus scores for James Cunningham’s short films Blinder and Infection, Casper Stracke’s Nach Wanyuscha and, with Leyton, Gillian Ashurst’s Snakeskin, which collected the Best Film Score award at the 2001 NZ Film Awards.

Langeveld collaborated with Victoria Kelly on the scores for The Irrefutable Truth About Demons and Toy Love, the latter a finalist in the Best Film Score category at the 2003 NZ Film Awards.

Langeveld is co-owner and director of BigPop Studios – an Auckland-based music composition/production and postproduction facility.
