Anthony Ioasa

aka Anthony Gold


Anthony Ioasa was one of the most important and prolific record producers working in Auckland in the 1990s, with credits ranging from the first Deepgrooves recordings to dance hits recorded in New York City during the 2000s.

Originally from Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore, as a child Ioasa was schooled in jazz and classical music by his parents and educated in classical piano.

Trivia:

Ioasa's song Sweet Disorder, co-written with Paul Casserly and Mark Tierney was number 64 in the APRA Top 100 New Zealand songs as compiled in 2001.
